Volunteering at Nexus


Regardless of your age, skills or experience, you could become a valuable part of the Nexus Primary Health team.

Volunteering at Nexus is one way you can make a meaningful contribution to your community. Our program will assist you to expand your skills, experience and knowledge in a meaningful way as a pathway to gain future employment or re-enter the workforce.

We offer a variety of volunteering opportunities across a range of our programs, including:

  • Meals on Wheels within the Mitchell and Strathbogie Shires,
  • Administration Support,
  • Planned Activity Group (PAG),
    Wanderers Group,
    Exercise Physiology Groups, and,
    Community Engagement.

Applying is easy!

Simply complete both the Volunteer Registration Form and the Volunteer’s Agreement and email to volunteer@nexusprimaryhealth.org.au return in person to a Nexus office or post to PO Box 84 Broadford 3658.

When an opportunity arises, a short interview will be conducted with a Nexus staff member and a National Police Check (including validation of 100 points of ID) will be completed. The cost of the National Police Check is covered by Nexus. A copy of the National Police Check consent form is available to be downloaded for your convenience.

You will also be asked to read and sign the Position Description for Volunteers, also available for downloading and viewing.

You will then undergo an orientation discussion, receive a Welcome letter and ID badge for identification purposes.

Please note that all volunteers are required to be in possession of an unrestricted drivers licence and for some positions, a personal vehicle. Please ensure these details are included when you apply.
