Horses Assisting You
Nexus Primary Health (Nexus) is a leader in providing innovative programs to assist the community. The Horses Assisting You (HAY) Program provides a unique experience to work with a Horse to help you learn and grow. The program is underpinned by the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) Model. Nexus is currently one of very few organisations throughout Australia implementing such a program. Wednesday was an exciting day for Nexus Primary Health as it welcomed the new staff who will deliver services throughout the Strathbogie Shire. The 19 new staff make up the talented team who will be responsible for the delivery of domestic assistance, personal care and respite care to many community members across the region as of July 1st 2015. The team includes Community Support Workers, the Community Support Administration Assistant/Volunteer Coordination and the HACC Assessment & Care Coordination Officer. Read More.

Nexus Primary Health has been successful in its bid to provide Home and Community Care (HACC) Services to the communities throughout the Strathbogie Shire Council. In November last year the Strathbogie Shire Council announced that it would cease providing HACC services to residents at the end of June 2015. Read More.
