Nexus NABs $50k grant for Paediatric Audiology
National Australia Bank has awarded more than $6 million in grants to not-for-profit organisations across Australia over the past three years. These grants have been awarded across the NAB Community Grants program and the NAB Foundation grants program.
Nexus has secured a $50,000 NAB Community Grant to establish and brand new Paediatric Audiology Service at the Nexus GP SuperClinic in Wallan. This service will assist local families and their children (aged 9months to 18 years) who might be experiencing speech delays or other issues. The service is due to commence March 2017.
NAB’s grants programs reflect NAB’s commitment to investing in organisations that tackle local issues to further develop a socially inclusive society, where difference is respected and all people can live a life of dignity.
The grants are administered through categories targeting social inclusion, mental health, access to services in rural and remote areas, and empowerment of young Australians along with categories that help not-for-profits build capacity, develop sustainable business models and grow.
NAB General Manager of Corporate Responsibility, Jodi Geddes says the NAB grants programs demonstrate NAB’s commitment to building stronger communities.
“We see the significant impact that community and charitable organisations make and focus on helping not-for-profit organisations to make an even bigger difference,” Ms Geddes said.
“Not for profit and community organisations, many of whom are also NAB customers, provide invaluable support to the Australian community and we’re proud to support their work in this way.”
