Foot Wound Clinic

The Foot Wound Clinic is run by Podiatry Team at Nexus. We help those who need advanced foot wound care.

We can provide:

• Assessments
• Screening
• Wound dressings
• Offloading devices to improve wound healing

We work with other professionals to help you. We work with:

• Nexus GPs
• Diabetes Nurse Educators
• Dietitians
• District Nursing

We work closely with the podiatry team at Northern Health. We will refer you to their Foot Procedure Unit, if you need it.

Anyone who has a wound on their foot that is below their ankle can be seen at our Foot Wound Clinic.

What to expect

A Podiatrist will call you after we have your referral. We will make an appointment to see you.

We can see you at Wallan or Broadford. The clinic runs in:

• Wallan on Thursday afternoon
• Broadford on Friday morning

We will do a thorough assessment in our first appointment. We will also do screening for other services.

We will put together a wound management plan for you. This plan will help other professionals who care for your wound.

Team

Our Podiatrists have a Masters of Podiatric Practice and have a special interest in treating foot wounds.

All of our Podiatrists are registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency).

Referral process

You can call us on 1300 77 52 to self refer to our Foot Wound Clinic. A Podiatrist will then call you to book an appointment.
