What if I am not a regular patient of Nexus?
All people are welcome to attend the Nexus COVID Vaccine Clinic, even if you do not usually use the nexus services.

I do not have a Medicare card can I still receive the COVID-19 Vaccine?
Yes, you can make an appointment with us.  You will need to complete the eligibility checker prior to making your booking.

I have heard that I will need to wait after I have my vaccine, how long it that?
After you have received your vaccination you will need to wait for at least 15 minutes, and in some case up to 30 minutes.  This is a ensure if you have a sever reaction to the vaccine, we are on hand to support you and keep you safe.

What vaccine will I be getting at Nexus?
We will be administering the AstraZeneca vaccine.  More information on the vaccine can be found here.

Do I need to do anything to prepare for the vaccine?

What are the common side effects?
The common side effects of the vaccine include.

• Pain, swelling, tenderness, redness or itching at the injection site.
• Tiredness.
• Headache.
• Muscle pain.
• Nausea.
• Chills.
• Fever.
• Feeling unwell.
• Joint pain.
