Home Maintenance

Our Home Maintenance Service can help you to stay living in your own home independently. We will work with you as part of a team to understand how best to help you. 
To use this service you need to:

• be approved for a package through MyAgedCare
• be over 65 years old

If using the service through a package, Nexus are the preferred service provider with Community Interlink.  

Nexus offers a range of maintenance jobs, we can help you with the following:

• Installing equipment that has been prescribed by Allied Health for example rails, ramps etc
• Window cleaning
• Repairs to doors and window locks
• Changing washers on dripping taps
• Changing light globes
• Gardening , limited lawn mowing
• Cleaning of gutters
• Replacing batteries in smoke detectors
• Chopping small amounts of wood for heating cooking

You can call and ask about other repairs and maintenance we can possibly help with.

What to expect

We will call you after your referral comes through the MyAgedCare System.

We can do an assessment with you:

• In your home
• Over the phone

Our team

Our staff are:

• Qualified
• Have a White Card (for Occupational Health and Safety)

Referral process

You need to contact My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 to be assessed for the service.

You should call Community Interlink on 1300 203 203 when you are allocated a package.

Community Interlink can then refer you to Nexus for our Home Maintenance Service.
