International Day of People with a Disability

International Day of People with a Disability is on the 3rd December.

International Day of People with a Disability is a United Nations observed day. It is held to increase awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with a disability. The theme this is year is to promote the achievements of people with a disability through an online campaign.

Nexus Primary Health is proud to partner with Greater Shepparton City Council, Valley Sport, Murrindindi Shire Council and Mitchell Shire Council. Together, we are having an online forum. This forum will a feature:
  • People with a disability sharing their challenges, opportunities and resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Allied Health professionals sharing tips on how to stay healthy and connected.
  • A live question and answer session with panellists.

Strengthening community health: Nexus Primary Health and Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health to explore a merger

Nexus Primary Health (Nexus) and Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health (SCCH) are excited to share the first step to explore the creation of a stronger, more resilient community health service for people who live in Hume, Macedon Ranges, Mitchell, Murrindindi and Strathbogie local government areas. On Monday 13 January 2025, Nexus transitioned to a governance structure led by SCCH. While both organisations remain separate entities, they will be governed by the same board, and Nexus’ Chief Executive Officer will report to SCCH’s Chief Executive Officer, allowing the organisations to better explore the potential community benefits of a merger.
