International Day of People with a Disability

International Day of People with a Disability is on the 3rd December.

International Day of People with a Disability is a United Nations observed day. It is held to increase awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with a disability. The theme this is year is to promote the achievements of people with a disability through an online campaign.

Nexus Primary Health is proud to partner with Greater Shepparton City Council, Valley Sport, Murrindindi Shire Council and Mitchell Shire Council. Together, we are having an online forum. This forum will a feature:
  • People with a disability sharing their challenges, opportunities and resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Allied Health professionals sharing tips on how to stay healthy and connected.
  • A live question and answer session with panellists.

Northern Health and Nexus Primary Health sign MOU

Northern Health and Nexus Primary Health have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to partner together and strengthen their commitment to addressing health and wellbeing challenges in Mitchell Shire. The agreement was signed by both Amanda Mullins, Chief Executive, Nexus Primary Health and Siva Sivarajah, Chief Executive, Northern Health, on Monday, 27 November 2023.

Launch of the Nexus Primary Health Innovate Reconciliation Plan (RAP)

We have some exciting news to share! Our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) has been endorsed by Reconciliation Australia and we are proud to launch our plan to our community! Our Innovate RAP is an important document which focuses on developing and strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, engaging staff and stakeholders in reconciliation, and developing and piloting innovative strategies to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
