Pride Month

Nexus is committed to being an inclusive, safe and welcoming organisation for our LGBTIQ Community.

Pride Month celebrates the diversity of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer community. It is held in June to honour the Stonewall Riots in 1969. The Stonewall Riots took place in Manhattan and were the beginning of the LGBTIQ rights movement.

Nexus is committed to being an inclusive organisation for our LGBTIQ community. We have a Diversity Committee made up of our staff members, working towards the Rainbow Tick Accreditation. The Rainbow Tick Accreditation shows that a workplace and its services are safe and inclusive.

Our Health and Diversity team run LGBTIQ social groups for our local community. Click here to read more about our groups.

Pride Month is an opportunity for us to recognise the resilience and determination of the LGBTIQ community.
