Volunteer's Week

Nexus says thank you to our volunteers

Volunteer Week is a fantastic opportunity to thank our volunteers for all their hard work. Our Meals on Wheels program is powered by our volunteers. We have 130 volunteers across the Mitchell and Murrindindi Shires who deliver 1500 meals a month. The efforts of our volunteers make sure that 140 people receive their meals.

Nexus hosted two volunteer afternoon teas with over 40 volunteers in attendance over the two days. In the spirit of volunteer week and as thanks to our volunteers, Nexus handed out its very first Nexus volunteer pins.

We are growing our volunteering service 2021. This will include a social support program and a transport program. Volunteering is a generous way to give back to your community. Volunteering can help grow your skills and experience. Visit our Volunteering page to find out more.

We deeply thank our volunteers the time and effort they put into the Meals on Wheels program.
