Nexus Primary Health (Nexus) and Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health (SCCH) are excited to share the first step to explore the creation of a stronger, more resilient community health service for people who live in Hume, Macedon Ranges, Mitchell, Murrindindi and Strathbogie local government areas.
On Monday 13 January 2025, Nexus transitioned to a governance structure led by SCCH. While both organisations remain separate entities, they will be governed by the same board, and Nexus’ Chief Executive Officer will report to SCCH’s Chief Executive Officer, allowing the organisations to better explore the potential community benefits of a merger.
From Wednesday, 1 January 2025, the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) contract for the Mitchell, Strathbogie, and Murrindindi local government areas will transfer to Sunbury & Cobaw Community Health (SCCH). While SCCH will manage the contract, Nexus Primary Health will continue delivering most CHSP services through a subcontract model.
We are proud to announce the launch of our Disability Action Plan (DAP)!
We are working towards an accessible, inclusive, and equitable organisation where we aim to break down the barriers and empower individuals of all abilities to achieve the desired quality of life. With the Disability Action Plan now in effect, we confirm our dedication to championing diversity and creating a welcoming environment.
Northern Health and Nexus Primary Health have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to partner together and strengthen their commitment to addressing health and wellbeing challenges in Mitchell Shire.
The agreement was signed by both Amanda Mullins, Chief Executive, Nexus Primary Health and Siva Sivarajah, Chief Executive, Northern Health, on Monday, 27 November 2023.
We have some exciting news to share! Our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) has been endorsed by Reconciliation Australia and we are proud to launch our plan to our community!
Our Innovate RAP is an important document which focuses on developing and strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, engaging staff and stakeholders in reconciliation, and developing and piloting innovative strategies to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Nexus Primary Health encourages our staff, volunteers, and our community to take time to learn and understand what a referendum is and understand the question that will be put to the Australian people in the 2023 referendum, so each of us can make an informed decision.
