Launch of our Social Stories Series

We are happy to share that we have started our Social Stories Series, a new project to help make accessing healthcare easier for everyone.

Our first story focuses on visiting the doctor at the Nexus GP Superclinic in Wallan. This resource might be beneficial for individuals who may live with autism spectrum disorder and difficulty with language, social skills or learning. It's a guide that can help you feel less worried about going to the doctor and get to know what to expect before you go.

Click here to see our Social Story about visiting the Nexus GP Superclinic in Wallan or head to the GP Superclinic Wallan information page.

We hope these stories will make a difference in our community by promoting inclusivity and understanding. Stay tuned for more instalments in our series!

Strengthening community health: Nexus Primary Health and Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health to explore a merger

Nexus Primary Health (Nexus) and Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health (SCCH) are excited to share the first step to explore the creation of a stronger, more resilient community health service for people who live in Hume, Macedon Ranges, Mitchell, Murrindindi and Strathbogie local government areas. On Monday 13 January 2025, Nexus transitioned to a governance structure led by SCCH. While both organisations remain separate entities, they will be governed by the same board, and Nexus’ Chief Executive Officer will report to SCCH’s Chief Executive Officer, allowing the organisations to better explore the potential community benefits of a merger.
