Our Medical and Nursing professionals are an integral part of the holistic and high quality service you will find at Nexus Primary Health. Our team has a strong focus on providing services using an integrated primary health care model to meet your needs. We have a broad range of highly skilled practitioners who work closely together to ensure you get the best possible care.
Our service works in partnership with individuals, families and communities in Mitchell Shire to promote optimal health and wellbeing. Community Health Nursing is involved in community and family health promotion, chronic health education and support, illness prevention and health screening.
Continence Service provides specialized management, advice and support for bladder and/or bowel issues.
District Nursing not only focuses on your physical care, but cares for you as a whole person, taking in to account your needs as a member of a family and a community. Our service cares for your social, emotional and spiritual needs, including the support of carers and family.
Our highly experienced GP team works closely with you to determine the most appropriate treatment for you, and closely monitor your ongoing health and wellbeing. Our GP service is fully Bulk Billing.
Appointments are now available with Paediatrician Dr. Jonathan on Wednesdays (commencing 3rd February 2016) at the Nexus GP SuperClinic Wallan.
Dr. Jonathan specialises in conditions from birth to adolescence, including:
- behavioural concerns,
- eating disorders,
- unsettled babies,
- developmental delay,
- ADHD and,
- sleeping difficulties.
Dr. Jonathan works closely with other health professionals such as lactation consultants, maternal and child health nurses, speech pathologists, psychologists, occupational therapists and also liaises with preschool/school educators as appropriate.
Accessing this service:
This service requires a referral from your GP. Consultations are Bulk Billed - therefore there is no out of pocket expense to you.
